Santu is in the dark gloomy store room. The next morning she gets ready to offer her prayers to Sun & Tulsi plant. Tarulaben sees Santu praying to Tulsi plant & gets angry on her. She tells her to stay away as she is a lower caste & her touch will make things impure. She tells her maid to get Ganga jal for Tulsi plant as it has become impure with Santus touch. Tarulaben warns her to stay away. Madho (Nanaji) is making pottery & remembers the conversation he had over the phone last night with Tarulaben. He remembers those insulting words & gets upset. Khemi asks him the reason for not going to the factory. Madho tells her that today Santu will come home for the ritual of Pagphera. He tells Khemi to cook special food for Maalik & make all the arrangements till he gets Santu from her house. Moghi gets excited hearing this & tells Manjari (the cow) about it.
